Beans

Bean is a vegetable species that follows the genus of Vetch of the legume family. Its scientific name is (Latin: Vicia faba).
It has been known since the days of the pharaohs and is an alternative source of protein. It is used a lot in Arab cuisine, and it is considered the first popular dish in Egypt, where it is eaten daily, especially as an iftar meal, and also during the Suhoor meal in the month of Ramadan and during fasting days among the Copts.
The foul is usually served with a dressing of garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, cumin and salt.
Beans contain serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates sleep periods and reduces anxiety, as well as acetylcholine, which helps form and maintain memory, and dopamine and adrenaline, which control stress and anxiety.
